Caretenders Scholarship Program

Tim Akers Memorial Scholarship

The Tim Akers Memorial Scholarship Fund supports outstanding Alaskan students in the pursuit of technology education and/or training. Tim Akers played an influential role in the development and production of the Prudhoe Bay Oilfield. Mr. Akers served as a mentor and role model for many young Alaskans with little or no experience working on the North Slope. His guidance helped to establish a solid core of exceptional Alaskan talent in the Prudhoe Bay workforce. The Tim Akers Memorial Scholarship will provide an award of $1,000.00. Rogers Community Volunteer Scholarship

In order to be eligible for the Rogers Community Volunteer Scholarship Program, you must be attending school on a full-time basis during the fall of 2013 and be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at any level. Additionally, you must have contributed a minimum of 10 hours of non-paid, volunteer service within your community during the last 12 months and have maintained a Grade Point Average of 2.5 or greater.
